Week 62: Jesus is a God of miracles

Que tal yall!

We had a week full up ups and downs here in Sacaba. But with some big miracles. 

I got to go on an exchange this week with my District Leader, Elder Penteulute. He's such a funny guy and a really cracked missionary. We found a car that had a design from the cars movie on the back and bought some pizza for dinner. It was really awesome to learn from him. He was a zone leader for the last 4 transfers so its been great learning from him on how to be a better zone leader. 


None of our friends came to church which was really sad. We had to take 3 of our friends of date to be baptized until they can fully understand the importance of the sacrament and come to church again. 

We saw lots of miracles this week from focusing on the Book of Mormon in our contacts and teaching even more from the Book of Mormon and helping our friends understand the power and blessings that comes from the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon really is so powerful! It truly does help us come unto Christ.


Heres the miracle story of Rene. 
Basically 4 weeks ago during our activity of Tocando Corazones, Elder Collins and Elder Talbert were on a mini exchange. We had the purpose of talking to everyone possible, and so they found Rene standing outside of a shoe story. They testified to him about the Book of Mormon and gave him a copy. Every since that day, everything changed for Rene. He began reading in the Book of Mormon every day, and we went over 3 times a week to teach him the restored Gospel of Christ. He came to church every week and kept growing and learning. And this last Saturday, he followed Christ's example and was baptized by the priesthood power and authority of God into Christ's restored church. Such a happy day! 
Rene bore his testimony at his baptism and shared how even though his life has been hard, he has been guided by God and now found the correct camino (path). 
I testify that this is Christ's church. It was restored through Joseph Smith who was and is a prophet called of God. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and the most correct of any book on earth. I know that Christ lives and miracles still exist because of him. I have seen so many miracles while serving God and his children and I know I will see many more. The joy that Christ has brought into my life is incredible. He brings true joy!

Monday, Aug. 4, 2025 Que tal yall!  This week was jam packed and very good!  We had a lot of work in the offices this week and we were able to get everything done!  On Tuesday our pension made us a special lunch for my birthday! Pique Machu and a cake of Marecua. Very yummy.  During the week, we had some cool miracles. Including a tender mercy of me finding a man with a Chiefs sweatshirt! He was super cool and i got to take a picture with him.  On Saturday, we visited Elder Bott and Elder Ramos, the zone leaders of zona Sarco, and had a good study. Then we had interviews with President in the mission home. It was my final interview and it was very special. He gave me some amazing advice for after my mission.  Then, we got to help Hermana Lopera make Columbian Empanadas. Super ricas.
