Week 63: Thanksgiving in Bolivia

Que tal yall!
Pretty good week here in Bolivia filled with miracles.
Had zone conference this week which was powerful as always. Elder Collins and I had a fire training planned for the zone involving the Book of Mormon and how we can better help our friends apply it to their lives and receive the blessings. We didn't have time to give it but we are gonna give it for our next zone council so that will be fire.
We had a really good burger for lunch and there was an extra so I got two. Always a dub.
Thanksgiving! As you can guess, no one celebrates it here but there was a member family from another ward that invited us over to have a Thanksgiving meal with them and the missionaries in their ward. It was such a kind and loving sacrifice. We has roast, mashed potatoes and gravy and some bread with some desserts. It was very awesome. We also got permission to call home which was sweet. It's crazy that this is my last Thanksgiving on the mission! Felt like just yesterday I was at the El Paso Thanksgiving day parade! The time is flying so fast.
I got to have an exchange this week with Elder Sorenson! He came here with me in Sacaba and we had a great time. Had a ton of miracles and he taught me a ton of awesome things!
We had Peaton here in Bolivia on Sunday which is the day where it's illegal to drive. It's fun for a lot of people because they ride their bikes around all day but wasn't too fun for us in terms of church attendance. None of our friends came which was very sad. We had 2 that ended up coming but after sacrament meeting. But we were able to teach both of then and one of them is very excited about the Book of Mormon which us awesome! We taught the restoration and he was just so pumped to hear all of it. He very humbly and gratefully accepted a Book of Mormon and is so excited to study it.
Today, we had P day with the líderes de la misión and 2 other zones so we got to design jerseys again. I'll drop some pics next week they are super drip. It was super fun and our zone dominated in soccer. We only have 10 missionaries in our zone and so you could say it was a David Goliath type victory.
This week with Thanksgiving it was really great to reflect on the blessings I have. There truly is power in gratitude! Our prophet has testified of the healing power of gratitude and it's something so powerful. Im so thankful for this time of year we have to focus on our Savior's birth and his influence in our lives! I love yall!
