Week 68: When it rains it pours

Que tal yall!
We had a lot of fun things that happened this week.
Because p day last week was extended to be all day, we went to the Church to play volleyball and fútbol in the evening. It was a ton of fun. Our team of only americans fought heard and we stayed on the court almost the whole night.
On friday, we got to go up to the Cristo at night as a zone and with Presidente and Hermana Lopera and the office missionaries because we won the Christmas competition to make something out of recyclable materials. We made a dope sleigh.
We had Burger King and it was awesome to be able to chill and look over the city at night while being able to remember the savior. An awesome night
On Saturday I got another migraine but my comp was able to text a lot of people while I was suffering in my bed and he found someone that wants to be baptized! So that was a big miracle.
On Sunday none of our friends came to church which was really sad. We had a lot that said they would but it rained a lot on Sunday and a lot of people here bunker down when it Rains. Big L but we had someone come who is a family member of a member who wants to learn English and learn more about the gospel! So we have a charla with her tonight and we are very grateful for that member referral.
It overall rained a ton this week. Like a lot. But It makes me think of a video or talk in the gospel library app. I can't remember what it is exactly, but it talks about how God wants to bless us in our lives but we are the ones that prevent those blessings in our lives when we don't keep the commandments and do the things God wants from us. The video compares it to the rain and umbrellas. The rain is God's blessings he is trying to pour upon us, and the umbrellas in our lives (such as our disobedience to the commandments and God's will and what he has asked us to do) block us from receiving those blessings. We need to take out those umbrellas to receive all that God wants to give us. So I invite you all to think about the "umbrellas" in your life that are preventing you from receiving the blessings that God wants to give you and remove them! You will be happier and have more joy!
