Week 85: Jonas y Carmen

Que tal yall! 

This weel was pretty fire. 

We had zone conference this week. It was awesome to see all the missionaries in the mission this week. I was able to learn so much from Presidente and Hermana Lopera. We have some amazing things to apply to our area and im so excited to see the miracles. We have a big emphasis in the mission right now of inviting everyone to Sacrament meeting from the first contact and applying our missionary culture every day of Fe, Bautismos, Milagros (Faith, Baptisms, Miracles).

Elder Monterroza and I are working so hard to reach our goal of helping two children of God this month enter into a covenant with God.
We have faith and we are praying so much and working so hard. Your prayers would be very appreciated in this aspect! If yall could pray especially for Jonas and Carmen, that would be fire. 
Here's their story:

We found them in a late contact about 2 weeks ago. They didn't have a ton of time so we set up for a return appointment. 
Well it fell through. 
But, we went back one night and they let us in! We taught lesson "0" which is basically where we teach our purpose as missionaries. And they said they'd be down to get baptized after preparation. We then went back and taught them the restoration, and gave them a Book of Mormon, with the invitation to read 3 Nephi 11.
Well they read more than 3 Nephi 11. They read 3 chapters and had some great questions. We brought a member to this lesson (on Saturday night) and the spirit was SO strong. Man it was powerful. Hermano Rocha testified of his conversion and how he received his testimony that this is the true church. We left them with the invitation to pray about the BOM to gain a witness of its truthfulness. 

They are currently praying and i feel such a strong desire to help them come unto Christ by making these sacred covenants. Please pray for them!

Monday, Aug. 4, 2025 Que tal yall!  This week was jam packed and very good!  We had a lot of work in the offices this week and we were able to get everything done!  On Tuesday our pension made us a special lunch for my birthday! Pique Machu and a cake of Marecua. Very yummy.  During the week, we had some cool miracles. Including a tender mercy of me finding a man with a Chiefs sweatshirt! He was super cool and i got to take a picture with him.  On Saturday, we visited Elder Bott and Elder Ramos, the zone leaders of zona Sarco, and had a good study. Then we had interviews with President in the mission home. It was my final interview and it was very special. He gave me some amazing advice for after my mission.  Then, we got to help Hermana Lopera make Columbian Empanadas. Super ricas.
