Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 Que tal yall!  This week was so good. Super powerful. We had some amazing miracles, had some wonderful blessings, and the vibes were immaculate.  Starting out last Monday. We had our first lesson with Danny at the bishop's house. And it was so powerful! We put Danny on date to be baptized on March 9th. The spirit was so strong. And it was a super powerful lesson. He is the most prepared person ever. Bishop has been his friend for a while and Danny has been prepared for a long time. Bishop has just talked to him about the gospel for a while and now Danny is ready! He actually lives in another ward In the El Paso stake boundaries. But he got permission to be baptized into the Soccoro ward, and stay here for a year. Elder Mecham and I just have the blessing to be the missionaries that teach him everything he needs to be taught. He is already so ready. This will be my first baptism and I am so excited. We have  worked so hard these last 4 and a half mont...

 Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 Que tal yall!  How's everyone doing?  Before I forget because I didn't talk about it in the last email... How bout them CHIEFSSSSSSSSS Let's gooo Chiefs!!! I'm so pumped that the chiefs won!!! Most of you may know but I'm a huge chiefs fan. We weren't able to watch the game but we were tracting an apartment complex and everyone had it on so no one wanted to talk to us lol. But I heard some of the game and I heard part of overtime. Then my family sent a vid of the last play and all my siblings were going bananas and I was so hyped.  Anyways about the week. This week was pretty grindy. We worked hard. On Tuesday we found a homie in the army who doesn't believe in God. I had the thought to testify that Jesus Christ is his savior and loves him. We ended up talking and he said he's tried a bunch of churches, but he's never felt anything at them. And he feels like he's tried to reach out to God but never received an answer. We te...

Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 Que tal yall!  These week was good. We are having to reset our teaching pool because no one is really progressing. So we are just finding like crazy trying to find people who are ready for the gospel. It's honestly really hard to stop teaching people who you love and want to come closer to Christ. Like our homie Steven. We found him like my first week here and he's such a dawg. But he just isn't progressing and he's not ready yet. It's very sad. But we know that we've planted a seed in him that had started to take root.  This week we also had zone conference which was really good. It was centered around our relationship with the savior. It was super powerful. President and Sister Edwards are so awesome.  At zone conference, got to see some of the dawgs. Not the ones up north though.  We also had interviews with Pres and he is so powerful and gave some great advice and counsel. I talked to him about our area and how we are not seeing a to...

Monday, Feb. 5, 2024 Que tal yall! How's everyone doing?  This week we worked really hard and beat our record again for lessons, as well as lessons with members participating. We've continued the training with Saul and its been brutal but really good.  We've had some amazing food this week. The members in the Soccoro ward make really good food and we get fed pretty much every day. A huge blessing. A couple members are professional chefs and are incredible at what they do. They made us some incredible pizza and quesadillas this week, as well as amazing steak, brisket and potatoes and guacamole. With corn tortillas. Sorry if It feels like I talk about food too much in here, I just love it a lot haha.  Sunday was super powerful. So blessed to take the sacrament and renew our covenants, and have a special focus on the Savior and his sacrifice.  Fast and testimony meeting was super powerful and the spirit was so strong. Monday, Jan. 29, 2024 Que tal yall!  This week went well. There wasn't too much that happened. So I'll just include a few highlights  Had some amazing food Saw some amazing sunsets  Worked hard  This personal trainer in another elders ward is doing a 6 week training program for free with us. It's super hard but I know I will see the results at the end of this transfer.  Something that has been hard is that we feel like we are working super hard, but not seeing a ton of success. I am reminded of the scripture of the harvest. Sometimes we  reap, sometimes we sow. But it is all the lords work. Right now, it feels like we are sowing a lot and planting seeds. But I know that it is super important, and all apart of the lords harvest. I just have to trust in his timing, and his plans. He is all powerful and all loving. And his plans are always far greater than our dreams.  Love yall! Èlder Richards

Monday, Jan. 22, 2024 Que tal! How are yall doing?  This week was eventful. We got transfer news and I'm staying here with Elder Mecham in Soccoro! We were praying for that and it happened! We are so pumped. We are super tight and we are working super hard and are seeing the fruits of our labors. We have lots of people progressing and are loving bringing others unto christ. The sad part about transfers Is that our zone switched up big time. Lots of people got transferred and a lot of the dawgs are gone. Elder Duckwitz, Elder Heitz, Elder Hernandez, Elder Amaya, and Elder Meservy are all gone. I'm especially going to miss Elder Meservy. He's such a dawg and so fun to be around. He's all the way north so it's sad. Basketball in our zone is nowhere near as good now.  To brighten things up, even with that sad news , I know that this is the lords work and everything that happens with transfers is in the lords hands. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 ¡Que tal! This week was good. We grinded and saw the results. But it all comes from the Lord. This is his work. He could do it by himself if he wanted to. But he allows us to be apart of it and be instruments in his hands, because of how much we learn, improve, grow, change, and become closer to the savior.  On Monday we were supposed to go to Cattlemens, a steakhouse out in the middle of nowhere that raises their own cattle, but it was closed for no reason. A huge bummer. We ended up going to Great American Steakhouse and it was really good. Brother shaw and brother maser took us which was very kind of them. The Soccoro ward is so awesome.  On Tuesday not much happened. Weekly planning and lots of finding.  On Wednesday we served at the food bank per usual, and worked hard and had some good lessons. One was with Cristinas son, who works most of the year in Alaska in the largest fishing company in the word. He's super cool.  Thursday was awesome...
